What We Do
Tri-County Building Trades & Construction Council works to secure the trade jurisdiction and autonomy of our affiliates as the respected arbiter of trade issues and though that work has contributed to the continuity of employment and economic security of organized construction workers. We work around-the-clock with industry stakeholders, private developers, non-profit organizations, workers' rights advocates, city and county agencies, and elected officials to advocate for the advancement of workers' rights, training and education, economic security, and middle-class employment opportunities for its membership and all working people.
Who We Are
Tri-County Building & Construction Trades Council is an umbrella organization for over 20 member local unions that represent over 2,900 trained journeypersons and apprentices that work in the construction industry in Summit, Portage and Medina Counties in Ohio.

Tri-County Building & Construction Trades Council represents the skilled trades of Boilermakers, Bricklayers & Allied Crafts, Electricians, Elevator Constructors, Glaziers, Heat & Frost Insulators, Laborers, Operative Plasterers & Cement Masons, Operating Engineers, Painters, Plumbers, Pipefitters, Roofers, Sheet Metal Workers, Sprinkler Fitters, and Teamsters that work and live in Summit, Portage and Medina Counties. THE TRI-COUNTY BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION TRADES COUNCIL PROVIDES ESSENTIAL COORDINATION AND SUPPORT TO THE WORK OF ITS AFFILIATED LOCAL UNIONS IN ORDER THAT, THROUGH INTER-TRADE SOLIDARITY, ORGANIZED CONSTRUCTION WORKERS ACHIEVE A POWERFUL VOICE IN GOVERNMENT, IN BARGAINING, AND IN THEIR COMMUNITIES.
